The Discovery 2 has become an off-roader’s favourite, it is tough, has live axles and is infinitely modifiable. In extreme going the front & rear ends are prone to damage due to the modest approach angle and considerable rear overhang.
Terrafirma Extreme bumpers not only significantly improve the approach angle & reduce the likelihood of crunching the rear end over drop offs, but they also provide excellent body protection against impact damage **.
Two types of Extreme winch bumper for the Discovery 2 are available to accommodate the hugely popular Terrafirma A12000, M12.5S & the EFS12.5 as well as the TM12000 Twin Motor winch.
A non-winch Extreme front bumper is the perfect ‘race’ bumper or when a winch is not required but where improved approach angle is a priority.
High approach angle front bumpers expose the windscreen washer bottle; larger tyres also rub on the bottle. Terrafirma relocates the original washer bottle into the engine compartment with a few modifications and a clever mounting kit.
Complimenting the superb front bumpers is the Terrafirma Extreme rear bumper which seriously optimises rear end clearance & protection while incorporating the original bumper mounted rear lights.
Each bumper has developed with a no compromise bias towards winching & off roading, with super strong mountings, recovery points & bracketry and a heavy application of satin black powder coat.
**Designed for maximum clearance off road, some modifications to the vehicle are required. The grill and slam panel supports require modification to fit a winch and the rear body corners will need trimming to fit the Extreme rear bumper.
