With the introduction of the G4 version TFIIDBTG4, GAP Diagnostic's has adapted its tried and tested G3 TFIIDBT to the latest on-board-diagnostic (OBD) hardware introduced by Land Rover: diagnostics over IP (DoIP). While this hardware change in the G4 will allow the IIDtool to communicate fully with all ECUs in the lates vehicles, it also means that the G4's OBD connector no longer has the capacity to support earlier vehicles.
The G4 IIDTool will support all vehicles from MY 2005 on* while the IIDTool G3 will support all vehicles from 2002 to 2016*. The IIDPRO will encompass both a G3 unit and a G4 unit.

Great tool and simple set up
Used this to check a 2011 Range Rover sport before purchase and so glad I did, it brought up a whole history of codes that were triggered that day and revealed what had recently been done in the vehicle with a list of older codes as well. Haven't yet sync the vin number to modify the Range Rover but the menu is fairly simple to read through it’s just a complicated machine with lots of scope. It needs setting up on your pc before first use but after that it’s all good for a tablet or phone. Great item and a bargain from malting!.
